Snifferdog sport fall class in Germantown MD

Interesting scent transport exercise in class. The dogs had to actually get their nose inside the bush in the sun before they smelled the source.

The Montgomery County is gearing up for their fall snifferdog sport class. Come spend Saturday mornings with your dog.

September 7, tuesday evening the Humane Domaine folks are combining the snifferdog sport program with some of the nosework program.

Snifferdog Sport had a great time doing an instinct test to support the friends of Downs Park in Pasadena MD. Downs Park has a dog beach on the bay! The perfect combination sniffing, treats, and a quick dip after for those lucky dogs!

Snifferdog Sport Event Silver Spring

We had a turn out for the snifferdog sport event at the park in Silver Spring. The dogs had the coolest morning of the summer to find the articles hidden in 4 sectors.

The July event in Montgomery County was cancelled due to the heat! The nice thing about snifferdog sport is that it is all about having fun with the dogs. If it will put animals or people at risk there is no sense doing it. Have fun but play safe preferably in the AC!

Congratulations to the Department of Parks & Rec. class

Wow these folks are dedicated! They turned up every Saturday morning to train their dogs in the heat of the summer. We had to move the class from 11:30 to 8:30 because of the temperatures. The dogs ALL did great!

Graduation was July 24.
